Wired Bra
Wired or underwired bras are a good option if you are a fuller figure or plus size and we stock beautiful wired bras from more than a dozen luxury brands. Non wired bras have become very fashionable but if you are a D cup or above you may feel more comfortable wearing a wired bra and we tend to recommend them. Without proper support you risk getting stretch marks and you can also end up with problems with posture and back pain. Women often complain of discomfort with wired bras but that is usually down to wearing the wrong size or style. Remember your body changes constantly, particularly during pregnancy, breast feeding, menopause or when you lose or put on weight. That's why you should have a bra fitting at least once a year and more often during pregnancy. The great thing is there is a very wide range of wired bras these days. Wired bras have a thin, semi-circular strip of rigid material inside the brassiere fabric - it may be metal, plastic, silicone or resin - to lift and support the breasts. The wire should surround the whole under part of the breast and never press against the breast tissue. If it does or feels uncomfortable you need to check the size.
